Two Prints off to Exhibitions…New York and Athens!
Last week was a good week in terms of my fine art photography. Two of my images were accepted for shows, one in New York and the other in Athens, Greece.
I heard from Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece that one of my images was accepted for their upcoming exhibition “Monochrome”. The chosen image was one of my favorite images from last year. It was shot in New Orleans and was my homage to Robert Frank’s iconic capture of the New Orleans streetcar and the riders within. Here is my image:
On Saturday, I awoke to an email from the New York Center for Photographic Art letting me know that one of my images was accepted for their exhibit, “One”, and it was awarded First Place. The exhibition was jurored by Aline Smithson, an excellent photographer and founder of the Lenscratch Blog.
The image is of the Snodgrass Building in Nashville. For some reason, one of the windows was different from the others, and the contrast stood out to me so I captured it.
The New York exhibit will run from April 3 – 14, 2018 at the JADITE GALLERY in the exciting Hell’s Kitchen area in Manhattan. My New York friends, try to stop by and check out the exhibition.
