In New Orleans there is a restaurant called Mother’s. This is not a nice restaurant, no fine dining and white table cloths here. It is in the Central Business District and serves the lunch crowds of the downtown workers. One of their offerings is a roast beef po-boy that is covered in gravy and “debris”, tiny chunks of beef left over form the cooking process. Let me tell you, that is a good sandwich!
Well, I guess I was thinking about a Mother’s treat while hiking through Radnor Lake State Park last weekend. I was drawn to the forest debris, the dead limbs, the fallen giants that liter the forest floor. Here is what I captured…
